Does 2 month's training and work experience in Boston USA sound attractive to you? Well 8 lucky young people from Blanchardstown had quite a few envious eyes on them when they began a Teleservices training project, with two months of the programme being based in Boston in the spring of 1998.

The project, funded by the International Fund for Ireland, FÁS and BAP, involved bringing together young people from the North and South of Ireland and providing opportunities for personal development, skills training, work experience and travel.

Lasting a total of 22 weeks, the project focused around the Teleservices industry, which is providing a large number of job opportunities in Blanchardstown. BAP advertised for places earlier that year, selecting 8 lucky young people who started training in January.
