The opportunities for getting a good job have improved dramatically in Blanchardstown. But it is still important to have a good qualification, and the opportunities are even greater when young people (or those a little older!) have a third level qualification. The Blanchardstown Third Level Support Scheme started in October, 1998. We were fortunate to get a very generous donation from IBM to help fund the programme for 17 to 21 year olds. The Adult Support programme is assisted by the VEC. Students get assistance for the costs connected with their course such
as travel, books, equipment, etc. Information guidelines are available
from Partnership - phone 820-9550. There are a limited number of places
available but we are confident that other companies will support the scheme.
This will allow us to increase our numbers. ~~~~~§~~~~~~
